Sketches and Thoughts
I like to tell. Behind every work is of course a thought, sometimes longer stories. At the exhibition you can see the the finished work – but often I think it is interesting to know how and maybe why the result was that it became. When I saw the exhibition on Jörn Utson, architect of the Opera House in Sidney, at Louisiana a few years ago and met one of the photographs of flying gulls. The link to his form of thought was so clear!
When I started my idea for art exhibition ”Oh my God”, also started a long process sketch where I tried to get down the text of the Bible Videos. Tower of Babel I pair with segregation and racism in the world. That we are not a homogeneous people, and that we actually are not equal before God.
Above one of the hundreds of sketches for ”Oh My God” as I did at an early stage.
When it was clear that I would exhibit at Ulfsunda Slott in Bromma, it was entirely given what the theme would be. Kings and Queens of course.
So I just had to find lyrics and information about the persons selected. Sketches and thoughts of King Gustav V above.
This is how it look like finished:
Another favorite is Oscar II. With the panties on the brain
In preparation of ”Long Live the King”, I ran at flea markets, stole my husband and my children's clothes, yes all I came to the garments that had meaning and soul. Oscar II, known womanizer, was of course an old pair of panties on the brain. Of course. It's no sensible person who understands that, if I did not tell of course. Mom's old jacket from the '80s, yes it was so nice so she locked it in so my sister and I would not play with it when she was at a party. I think that mom used it ONCE, it was that fine and expensive. But what could be better to Charles VI's horse Brilliant. I put the scissors in it and explained to my dear mother that it was for the sake of the environment I did this…yeah right.
The entire family for the beginning of the year to Florida. In Cape Coral got the garage in our rented house serve as studio.
A typical day could look like this: long breakfast at the pool, leave the boys in kindergarten, motorbike tour to training, and the art / craft store. Home and paint. It was most moving body. The Music.
Mainly Conjure One.
The wipes are now on their way home in a limo. Luxury for judgment.
