Hi, meet me, Catrine Näsmark. Here you get to know a bit more about what I have devoted myself to the last few years.

1993 I started at the Art School Basis, Stockholm, the following year Nyckelvik School which was then followed by five years of study at the Danish Design School, the set design program.

At the time, at the time I painted nights, weekend days at the side of my set design assignments. Alive artist dream: with my day turned upside down. – in sky-high heels and having a glass of wine in my right hand, I worked for dear life.

Painting soon started to take up all my time, I structured my life and now it's my full-time job. In structured forms! The job begins each day nine.

I paint people in all its forms. Undressed, Dressed, moving or sitting still. SMALL FRY as well as professional board. Sports and Action design fascinates me. Playing with words is fun. Saddam and Bush together at the same painting must surely hot ”Pilutta dej” (Teasing you), included in "Portraits" in the gallery.

I’m either preparing for an exhibition or painting a portrait I’ve been commissioned for, perhaps for a special occasion. My portraits are always larger than in reality. The result tends to be much more interesting when.

………………………

At the Royal Palace, in the Jubilar Room, my portraits of Queen Silvia and King Carl Gustaf are hanging on the wall.

The first exhibition was at Gallery Odin, ”Kings, Queens and other random people "and after that I worked for many years with the Art Gallery and Gallery January Wallmark.

One of my major exhibitions with 38 original works hanging on Ulfsunda Castle. The theme was Long Live the King” and it gave me the chance to dust off the set designer in me. . It was a mix of painting, seasoned with flea market finds, toys and other attributes. Fairy tale meets reality. That’s what I like.

In Catherine's Church a large audience 2011 got to meet the searching part of me. With ”Oh my God” I recognized a long time study of the Bible.
